Fr. Justin's Open Office Hours
Fr. Justin have Open Office Hours on Monday at the church from 11:00-1:00, Wednesday at the Starbucks on West Adams in Temple from 10:00-11:30, and Thursday at Starbucks on I35 in Belton from 2:00-4:00 pm. Director of Music Gerald Nicholas will join Justin on Thursdays.
We will offer confirmation classes for adults and youth during Christian Formation on Sundays at 9:20 am beginning August 5.Bishop Harrison is scheduled for confirmation on Sunday, September 16. Please let the church office know if you would like to be confirmed.
Reading and Lunch Buddies!
Contact Peter Kisner to sign up to be reading and/or lunch buddies for children at Jefferson Elementary (just up the road at the corner of W. Zenith and N. 3rd Street). Reading Buddies are volunteers who commit to one hour a week through a public school semester to read to students. Lunch Buddies have lunch with a couple of students twice a month. Volunteers will need to apply, complete Safeguarding God’s Children training and agree to a background check.
All are welcome to come and help keep the church grounds beautiful. Work includes planting, weeding and maintaining the flower gardens and beds. Come dressed for the weather and the work.
Feed My Sheep
Every Third Wednesday of the month and the
preceding Tuesday-July 17 & 18, 2018
Join us for Feed My Sheep as we prepare sack lunches for the hungry in our community on the third Wednesday of the month. We put together the non-perishables on the Tuesday before at 5:15pm and make the sandwiches and do the final preparation at 9:30am on that Wednesday.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Every 1st & 3rd Friday of the month
Church Parlor @ 10:00am
Anyone who can knit or crochet from beginners to advanced are welcome to join us as we create prayer shawls to bless those who could use a physical reminder that they are loved and prayed for. Bring your needles or hook and your creativity. If you would like to learn to knit we can teach you!
