We believe that knowing Christ is a journey where we learn more each day we open our hearts to God’s call on our lives. As a church family, we participate in this work through study, prayer, and worship. Below is a list of offerings that touch on these three areas.
- Children's Chapel
Sunday mornings during 10:30am Holy Eucharist Rite II (resumes August 13)
Children's Chapel will not run on the last Sunday of each month, children will stay with their parents for the duration of the serviceChildren's Chapel is an opportunity for children of all ages to Celebrate the Good News in a liturgical setting that is geared toward them. They will gather, proclaim God's Word, respond to God's Word, sing and pray. Children will leave near the beginning of the service during our 'Hymn of Praise' and rejoin the congregation during 'The Peace' so that they can participate in The Holy Communion.
- Children's Formation
Sunday Morning at 10:30 am through August 6th and starting August 13th will be in between the two services at 9:15 amDuring the summer we are having special multiage lessons in Primary Classroom with Lin McBee and Jane Wells. The religious program we use, now called Godly Play, has been around since Maria Montessori’s day when she developed a lovely, quiet, experienced-based way for children to encounter God. After the adult storyteller presents the story to them using 3-D materials and simple language, the children choose how they will respond with their own artwork or storytelling, staying in the same prayerful mood. Children’s formation will be held all summer in the Godly Play Classroom at 9:15 am. It is next to the nursery in the main church building. We welcome all children ages 4 to 12. Older children and adults who would like to help are welcome, too. Children's Formation will be at 10:30 am through August 6th and starting August 13th will be in between the two services at 9:15 am.
