What a wonderful experience it is to be a member of Christ Church!  During these times that require more intention to need that is greater than ever before, Christ Church members have reached out in such meaningful ways…

Salvation Army Angel Tree:
Suzanne Boyer spearheaded this effort last  Thursday, gifts were delivered to the Salvation Army Drop Off Location – including (at least 30) bicycles!  We hope you may gave gotten a glimpse of then as they filled up the space around the tree. ( A few “elves” have delivered more toys – which were all expedited to Salvation Army to add to their gifting.)

Feed My Sheep
Kitchens were humming with sweetness preparing the great number of decorated Christmas cookies that were delivered to Feed My Sheep on Wednesday with the Sack Lunches…(Kerry and her team added cheer to the experience of those that find their daily lunch at Feed My Sheep.)

Kyle Hotel
Chef Sean Baker and his team created, delivered, and served a delicious Christmas Festive Lunch to the residents of the Kyle Hotel.  On the menu was Italian Cuisine a la Chef Sean, dessert, plenty of chocolate, and beverages.  Smiles appeared as soon as the residents exited the elevator, continued through the serving station, and broadened as each received a special gift wrapped in Christmas happiness. So many Christ Church Elves delivered wonderful treasured gifts to the church, and Michele added fashion on a cozy scale with her hand made scarves. More specialness was added from the handmade decorations from Connie.  (Those of us at the Kyle got to witness happiness as their lives were cheered even more.)

CTLC Churches Touching Lives for ChristAs of Thursday, we have contributed 142 Turkeys/Hams to CTLC for their food drive.  Our Goad is 150 – and more can certainly be used for the Drive By Food Delivery on Tuesday.  (If you plan on bringing a Turkey or Ham, please bring them to our Sunday outdoor service. Abundance is a great characteristic in this endeavor.) In addition, we have taken over 150 gloves to CTLC.  Miss Chris (the Administrator) is effusive in letting us know how much we are helping CTLC and our community at a time when it means so much.)

Additions
Christ Church elves don’t stop!  We also received a very timely donation of more gloves and gators/scarves to help with the winter chill.  Some were distributed at the Kyle Hotel, and some were given to Alexis (Central Texas Housing Consortium) to be given directly to children. The gloves are soft and colorful, and will delight all who receive them..

There was an added stop yesterday to the Salvation Army because the Christ Church elf had also brought 24 blankets to be donated at our discretion.  Eyes opened wide when these blankets appeared – an answer to prayers that had not been spoken – because the Women’s Shelter had run out of blankets the night before! Seeing God’s providence in care in such a timely way is one that I wish all of you could have experienced with me.

When you have your time with God, please listen as you hear how delighted He is with each of your efforts in changing lives in very special ways during this Christmas time.  Let your heart smile knowing that your efforts have added a dimension of joy in the lives of so many in our community.
