Angel Tree Program

The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program has been bringing Christmas to area children and families since 1985 and provides a connection between those who can help and those who need help the most at Christmas. Businesses, corporations, churches and individual sponsors agree to adopt Angels for Christmas and provide gifts of new clothing, shoes and toys for needy area children. Eligible children are registered with The Salvation Army and then their information is compiled onto a tag that lists first name, gender, age, clothing size, shoe size and a Christmas wish. The completed angels are then returned to The Salvation Army ready to be distributed to families prior to Christmas.
There are two ways you can sign up to provide for one or more children:
1. There are tags on the Christmas tree in the Narthex at church. The instructions are there- take a tag and write your name on the sheet next to the number of the child you have chosen. Be sure to take an instruction sheet and a bag for the gifts.
2. Call Suzanne Boyer, 254-493-2377, or email her at suzboyer@sbcglobal.net, and she will help you get signed up with a child and their wish lists. We will work with you on getting the gifts turned in.
Don’t wait- Gifts must be turned into the church by Monday, December 12.
You can deliver the gifts to church on Sunday or to the church office Monday through Thursday, 9 AM to 4 PM, or Friday, 9 AM to Noon.
If you want to shop online, please consider using the Amazon Smile program. Choose Christ Church as your designated charity and the church will receive a portion of the purchase.
